The Central Plant Building (A40) at Auckland Hospital is a state-of-the-art, base-isolated facility designed for a 100-year lifespan. It ensures resilience against seismic events and other natural disasters, safeguarding critical infrastructure. A new 210m services tunnel connects essential hospital buildings, ensuring uninterrupted medical services in emergencies.
